Former FE commissioner Shelagh Legrave has been appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her exceptional service to further education. Julian Gravatt, widely regarded as an authority on college finance and funding policy, is also amongst those recognised. These honours reflect growing national appreciation for the FE sector’s role in driving social mobility, economic prosperity, and lifelong learning.
